A beautiful walk, but wish we could have gone much earlier in the day. Even in the low season this place seems pretty busy

I went for taking a fall foliage to Arashiyama in Kyoto.
Temperature was going down rapidly, so gradation of red, yellow and green was so clear and beautiful.
Very thanks to Flickr staffs’ picking up this picture for the official blog!
Arashiyama River Banks by arcreyes [-ratamahatta-] on Flickr.Via Flickr:
After our short mystical trip to the Bamboo Forest, we headed out for the Oi River of Arashiyama. It was not as colorful yet as expected but still I had to take the shot for documentation purposes.
It was so cloudy, I really had a hard time fixing this photo. Adding a little brightness washes up the photo easily. And adding contrast brings most of the detail back to backs. I did local adjustments both in Lightroom and Photoshop to make the photo a little acceptable.
If interested, I have my general workflow on how to create HDR images. Do check it outarcreyes.blogspot.com/2010/12/hdr-workflow.html

Passing through the bamboos by PacoAlcantara on Flickr.Via Flickr:
so… last photo I upload from Japan in a while again (yeah, I already said that a month ago and here I am, eh?) anyway, this time is gonna be for longer than a month tough, maybe more than a year, who knows?!.
Tomorrow I have to endure again about ten hours of a tourist class seat and then finally get to my new destination.
I guess I’ll keep on uploading photos taken in Japan from there but also stay tuned for the next country which promises fascinating shots as well.
Enjoy this one meanwhile, ta ta!Miyako Style
